How do you describe your own art practice?
Poetry and analog photography, dark rooms and flowers, empty spaces and lights in movement. My research is made of everything we are surrounded by. The outside world goes inside our body passing through the eyes, filtered by emotions.

Which question or theme is central in your work?
Why do I believe? What’s the connection between body, soul and universe? Do we have a collective soul? If being human means to create another life, is every human being an artist? To create means to live.

What do you need in order to create your work?
Emptiness, to make space for new thoughts. I need to meditate, walk alone and see how relational problems are small and how the only good thing we could do to avoid them and just create is to believe in our Inner God.

What work or artist has most recently surprised you?
Not recently but it always surprises me Nostalghia, a film by Andrei Tarkovskij. It has a perfect balance between images, movements and words. A mystical sense full of hope and sacredness comes to my heart every time I watch this film, and my eyes are never tired of it.
