How do you describe your own art practice?

I take photos that please me, that tell the stories I would like to tell… I guess we could say it is a good reflection of who I am as a person and what I like and how I see the world.

What was your first experience with art?

I guess drawing on the walls of our living room when I was a child, I was allowed to do it and enjoyed it very much to see how the colors got together and created a new version of my reality.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?

I would say the sunshine.

What do you need in order to create your work?

I need to find whoever or whatever it is I am photographing, interesting.

What are you working on at the moment?

I am 33 weeks pregnant, so I have been mostly working on pregnancy related photos the last months…

What work or artist has most recently surprised you?

Monica Bonvicini’s exhibition at the Berlinische Galerie was really great to see.
