How do you describe your own art practice?
I think I inherited a lot of my practice from my father, who is both a scientist and inventor. The difference is mostly the subjects. Where he wonders about physics, I wonder about human perception.

How the world is understood by us.
What was your first experience with art?
I grew up with my grandfather’s beautiful paintings. It amazed me to see how he was able to translate the world onto a canvas. It almost seemed supernatural.
What is your greatest source of inspiration?
The have been many different over time, today I would say Nietzsche and Schopenhauer.
What do you need in order to create your work?
Being stock in a train seat for a day or a month long corona lockdown, can release a lot of amazing ideas. When nothing happens, it becomes my responsibility to change that.
What work or artist has most recently surprised you?
I was about to lie on this question, because the truth shows how horrible self absorbed I am. But if I’m allowed to mention a book, it must be Sue Prideaux’s “I Am Dynamite!” about Friedrich Nietzsche
