How do you describe your own art practice?
I start from elements that catch my attention and that are often unnoticed despite their massive presence in the landscape. After selecting, I put them together in order to understand their limits and their properties. I decompose them giving a new look but at the same time keeping their identity.

What was your first experience with art?
After taking part to various underground bands in Rome, in 2014 I rented a studio at Pastificio Cerere in the neighborhood of San Lorenzo. This building is an historical place for the Roman contemporary art history, because since the 80s it has been the headquarter for important Italian artists like Nunzio, Giuseppe Gallo, Piero Pizzi Cannella and many more.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?
My main sources of inspiration are shapes and materials that overwrite the environment around us.

What do you need in order to create your work?
I need to look and collect as many images and information as possible. Then I select them and once chosen they will be the main device for a new work’s birth.

What are you working on at the moment?
My first solo show at z2o Sara Zanin Gallery in Rome has just ended and with her I will take part also to the international fair miart in Milan in April. After the summer I will be fully committed to a new solo show abroad.

What work or artist has most recently surprised you?
I was recently at P420 Gallery in Bologna and I was extremely surprised from the artworks by June Crespo displayed in the show ‘Foreign Bodies’.
