How do you describe your own art practice?

An appreciation for the consequence of history.

What was your first experience with art?

Being Irish, it was probably a combination of Catholic symbolism and ritual combined with pre-Christian Celtic mythology.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?

The historical provenance of imagery, objects and materials – in more recent times those associated with astronomy.

What do you need in order to create your work?

Curiosity and imagination.

What are you working on at the moment?

A photographic novel about UFO conspiracy using found photographs from several countries.

What work or artist has most recently surprised you?

The photographs of Apolinar A. Villa (1916 – 1981), and the entire NASA Apollo mission photographic archive continues to surprise me.
