How do you describe your own art practice?

It is both textual and visual. Written words and what they represent, visually, are the essence of my practice. It is also autobiographical and sets out to translate social problems.

What was your first experience with art?

It was not technically an art piece, but it would have to be the musical ‘The Wall’ by Pink Floyd. It was quite mind-blowing for me to see it at the age of 13.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?

A good thought.

What do you need in order to create your work?

Time.

What are you working on at the moment?

A novel called ‘White’ (the third and final episode of a literary trilogy project) and a video about weightlifters that reflects on social validation.

What work or artist has most recently surprised you?

“Shouldered Streetlight” by Jan Philip Scheibe.
